While cruising across New Zealand, the cruise ship made a quiet entrance to the port of Picton, NZ. Along the way, we passed many countryside shacks such as this one.

We found this free camp site called “Robin Hood Bay” and we thought it had an nice name and why not check it out. The drive there was pretty rough and our old Honda Odyssey was really struggling to get there, as we got up on the next morning we saw we had a flat tire so we were stuck there with no phone signal. We met a couple of german guys who came there too with two cars, one of them was also not running anymore and the other one was an 4x4 Mitsubishi. We stayed in this bay for 4 days before we got our tire fixed and it was an super awesome experience.

We were driving between Havelock and Nelson on New Zealand’s South Island. A storm was blowing in and I got soaked stopping the car to get a shot of this beautiful boat - couldn’t resist.

Taken from above a short distance from where I grew up in Nelson, New Zealand. In the distance is the start of the famous ‘Boulder Bank’, the longest of its kind.

A view out towards Cable Bay from Glenduan at sunset. The colors aren’t as vivid as I’m facing away from the sun… however I love the soft tones that you can get with this perspective.

Went for a walk with some friends along the Southern Coast of Wellington. After attempting one track that didn’t seem to exist anymore and another that led deeper into the hills than we had time for, we ended up walking a little further and longer than planned, but it meant the sun was hitting the hills just right as we were leaving.

My style of photography is different. I have combined my love of soft focus, shallow depth of field, the water &the colour blue to come up with this series of photos. This photo was taken waist deep in the water with a wave nearly completely taking out my camera as I held it near the surface. The bigger the risk the better the result.

This photo was taken at the beach in my hometown. I love this place for both aesthetic and sentimental reasons. The ocean at sunset is my absolute favourite and this shot is no different. The bokeh is a result of a wave splashing with the glow from the setting sun hitting the surface. Magic.
